Voltage source and current source

Ideal Voltage Source

It is that voltage source whose output voltage remains absolutely constant whatever the change in current such a voltage source must have zero internal resistance so that internal voltage drop in the source is zero. In practice, ideal constant voltage source can't be obtained.

Practical voltage source

An ideal voltage source when connected with an internal resistance in series becomes a practical voltage source. However, smaller the internal resistance are of a voltage source, closer it comes to an ideal voltage source described above.

Ideal current source

It is that voltage source whose internal resistance is infinity. In practice, it is approached by a source which passes very high resistance as compared to that of the external load resistance.
