Newton's Law Of Gravitation

Newton's Law Of Gravitation

According to the Newton's law of gravitation ,"gravitational force between two bodies is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of distance between their centers".

1. Gravitational force between two bodies is directly proportional to the product of their masses.
If two bodies has mass m1 and m2. Then, the gravitational force is given by,

F α m1m2

2. Gravitational force between two bodies is inversely proportional to the square of distance between their centers.

F α 1/ (d * d)

Hence,

F α (m1m2)/(d*d)

F = G (m1m2)/(d*d)
