British council and IDP
IELTS Test Providers

IELTS is co-owned by two organizations globally i.e. British Council and IDP, Australia. There is a huge confusion among candidates about which to choose for the IELTS examination. As a matter of fact, many people tend have their own reason behind choosing the test provider.

FACT :

There is no difference in the examination taken by IDP and British Council.

It is all about the perception of some candidates that, they find these providers to be different. This is because the questions for both the test providers are prepared by Cambridge University ESOL examinations.
