Coupling reaction
CASE I
When benzene diazonium chloride reacts with phenol to produce a yellow coloured dye i.e. p-hydroxy azobenzene. This reaction is known as Coupling reaction.
CASE II
When aniline reacts with benzene diazonium chloride gives p-
aminodiazobenzene in presence of NaNO2 and dil. HCL at ice cold
temperature. This is also known as Coupling reaction.
