IELTS Lesson #2 – IELTS Answer Sheets

IELTS test has separate answer sheet for Listening, Reading & Writing. But, please note that the answer sheet of listening and reading are on the either sides of the same A4 Sized Paper.

Some of the important things, you need to know about IELTS Answer Sheets.

  • Note that, it is not compulsory to write the answers in capital letters. But, if you think your handwriting is going to affect your scores, it’s better to write in Capital letters because it is easily understood and creates no ambiguity.
  • In addition to that, it is better to write your answers using pencil. Also, you can ask for more than one pencil in the examination hall to the invigilators.
  • Please make sure you choose the right box among academic and general training IELTS.
  • Once you are done with the Listening test, you are not allowed to flip your reading answer sheet to the listening side.
  • Mistakes due to spelling, instructions and grammar (plural and singular) are very common in IELTS Answer Sheets.
  • There is no negative marking in IELTS. So, you should not be leaving any answers at the end of the test.
  • In the reading test, you will not be provided any extra time to transfer your answers from the question booklet into the answer sheet. Hence, it is important that you transfer your answers with the 1 hour period given to you.
